OccMedCIC provides services to individuals both directly and through their respective employers. Our experienced care providers and caring support staff want to earn your confidence and assure you appreciate our professionalism even in difficult circumstances such as a painful injury or a required exam.
Injury Care:
We provide a full range of injury management services. Examples include complex multi-layer wound closures (suturing), foreign body removal from eye or skin, burns, soft tissue injuries. Face-to-face is always preferred but for convenience we offer telehealth visits especially for routine follow-up.
Immigration Physicals:
We have a seasoned United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Civil Surgeon on staff for individuals who need an Immigration Physical. We will return your lab results and a completed i693 one week from your appointment date.
Federal Aviation Administration & HIMS Service:
As a senior “AME”, Dr. Burress performs class i, ii and iii FAA exams. He maintains an excellent rapport with the FAA NE Regional Flight Surgeon. Dr. Burress is a HIMS (Human Intervention Motivational Study) AME. As a HIMS AME, Dr. Burress guides the pilot through the process of gathering requested evaluations and data to submit a Special Issuance for those pilots with substance issues or who are taking anti-depressants or other medications of concern for the FAA.
Medical Evaluations:
We provide various medical evaluations that can range from fitness for duty to blood-borne pathogen exposures. See our complete list of evaluations.
OSHA Regulated Surveillance Exams:
We offer a variety of OSHA Regulated Surveillance Exams, including but not limited to HazMat Silica Surveillance exams, Tuberculosis Testing, Vision Testing, HazMat Asbestos Initial and Periodic Surveillance exams, Annual Augdiograms, and Respirator Clearance exams. See our list of services here.
DOT Examinations:
Our examinations for DOT can get you on the road. We have certified medical examiners listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry website. We help drivers applying for or currently holding a Commercial Driver’s License. See our requirements here.
Drug and Alcohol Testing:
We provide drug and alcohol testing on a walk-in basis. We can test based on DOT regulations or based on a custom requirement for your company with comprehensive testing options. Results are typically available within three business days. If MRO (Medical Review Officer) service is required/requested, Dr. Burress is an experienced MRO who also provides Reasonable Suspicion Training
