- Contributing to guideline development at Mass Medical Society and the Department of Industrial Accidents in response to the Opioid Crisis
- Achieving change in Harvard Project Labor Agreement (PLA) that allows fentanyl to be added to point of collection test kits
- Consulting with employers and organizations to help evolve their strategy toward substance abuse.
Drug Screens and Alcohol Testing:
There are several types of drug screens and alcohol tests employers can request:
- Department of Transportation (DOT)/Federal Drug and Alcohol testing: as per 49 CFR Part 40. Our medical assistants are certified in Department of Transportation (DOT)/Federal drug and alcohol testing as per 49 CFR Part 40.33.
- Non-DOT Drug and alcohol testing: Not Federally regulated. Testing program developed by employer
- Collection Only Drug Screens: Results are sent to employer’s pre-determined Medical Review officer (MRO)
- Rapid Drug Screens: Completed on-site, results sent to employer within 1 hour of testing
In general, results on drug screens that are sent to the lab for testing or confirmation are available within three business days. Our MROs comply with Federal DOT regulations regarding validating positive drug screen results. This usually takes approximately seven days extra. Our team of medical assistants monitors results daily.

Send the driver with your Federal Chain of Custody Form (CCF) or send a few of your CCFs to us. We collect the drug screen, and send it to your designated lab for testing.
