Dr. Burress started the practice in 2015 to exemplify an alternative to the outdated Massachusetts Worker’s Compensation System (last updated in 1992). OccMedCIC addresses the shortcomings of the current Workers Compensation (WC) System by partnering with sophisticated employers that strive to positively impact their Experience Modifier Ratio (EMR).
We communicate with all stakeholders transparently as part of a deliberate care delivery model that facilitates functional recovery. At OccMedCIC, in addition to injury care, we provide a variety of occupational health services, exams, and consultations.

OccMedCIC is a privately held company.
We are not financially tied to any physical therapy centers, imaging centers, surgical practices, or hospitals. This allows us the freedom to focus on the needs of our patients and to innovate, including the implementation of care delivery elements shown to have ROI (return on investment) and improve outcomes for all stakeholders in other states with more up-to-date WC Systems.
